(The Translational Genomics Research Institute) The Translational Genomics Research Institute (TGen), an affiliate of City of Hope, has received a total of $6.1 million in two grants - a $3.5 million federal grant from the National Institutes of Health, and a $2.6 million federal grant from the Department of Defense - to study deadly lung diseases that affect hundreds of thousands of Americans, and for which there are no cures.
